MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (AP) — Hansen Medical Inc. said Friday it hired a former executive from heart device maker Guidant Corp. as its chief financial officer.
Peter J. Mariani starts June 20, replacing Peter Osborne, who had been interim CFO since February 2010.
Mariani, 47, spent nearly 12 years at Guidant, including time as controller and chief accounting officer. Guidant was acquired by medical devices maker Boston Scientific Corp. in 2006. He later served as CFO of two private companies, Hansen said.
Hansen makes products using robotics to manipulate and control catheters.
