Hologic buys Interlace for $125 million
Hologic Inc., which makes mammogram systems and other women's health diagnostic tools, said Friday it bought Interlace Medical Inc. for $125 million in cash, in a move to boost its position in the women's health care market.
Interlace, based in Framingham, Mass., makes the MyoSure hysteroscopic tissue removal system, which is used to remove fibroids and polyps.
The buyout deal also includes two annual contingent payments based on revenue growth.
