Impax Laboratories Inc. said Wednesday the Food and Drug Administration approved the company's generic version of the antibiotic medication Doryx.
Warner Chilcott Ltd. and Mayne Pharma filed a lawsuit against Impax in 2008, alleging patent infringement over Impax's plan to make a generic version. That lawsuit is ongoing.
Doryx is used to treat a range of conditions, including acne, sexually transmitted infections, respiratory tract infections, bacterial infections, ophthalmic infections, and anthrax.
