MedQuist Holdings Inc., a health care documentation company, said Wednesday that it has elected Colin J. O'Brien to its board.
O'Brien is a former executive with Xerox Corp. and helped found an investment firm. He replaces Bob Aquilina, who recently resigned from the board voluntarily to allow the number of independent directors to increase to five.
MedQuist changed its name from CBaySystems Holdings in January and completed its initial public offering in February. The company owns MedQuist Inc., a company that was already publicly traded at the time of MedQuist Holdings' IPO. MedQuist Inc.'s shares stopped trading publicly following the IPO.
O'Brien previously served as a member of the board for MedQuist Inc. from September 2008 to March 2011 and stepped down when its shares were delisted.
Shares of MedQuist Holding fell 31 cents, nearly 4 percent, to $8.25 Wednesday.
