The Thermo Scientific TriPlus 300 Headspace Autosampler is designed for fast start-up, high productivity, and flexibility for analyzing organic volatiles. Throughput of this new valve-and-loop headspace autosampler is enhanced by its 120-vial sample tray capacity and large 18-vial incubation oven overlap capacity, enabling long, unattended high-throughput runs. After initial setup, the device’s timing is automatically optimized to maintain constant equilibrium intervals, further enhancing throughput. Sample integrity is protected and carry over effects are mitigated because the entire sample path of the TriPlus 300 Headspace autosampler is chemically inert, and all heated zones of the headspace unit can be set between 30 and 300 degrees Celsius. This full-featured, flexible autosampler solution is compatible with standard GC and GC-MS systems, including those using packed and capillary columns. Methods from many older systems can be moved to the TriPlus 300 Headspace autosampler workflow for quick start-up. The system is designed to maintain high traceability, making it well-suited for pharmaceutical research, forensic toxicology, environmental and food testing organic volatiles determinations. The system offers a wide range of customizable temperature options for the entire sample path which gives it the ability to be gentle with delicate biological samples and labile analytes. It is well-suited for emerging high-temperature headspace applications. When used with the Thermo Scientific TRACE 1300 Series GC instruments, the TriPlus 300 Headspace Autosampler can offer even more flexibility. Trace 1300 instruments allow the user to move the autosampler from one GC to another in minutes, without modifying the GC pneumatics. This functionality allows the user to start a new application on a different GC, obtain confirmation of results on a GC-MS system or just quickly satisfy incremental workloads. Priority samples can be placed at any sample tray position, for additional flexibility. Once these samples are run, the original sequence resumes automatically. Integration of the Thermo Scientific Dionex Chromeleon Chromatography Data System provides single point of control for the entire analytical workflow. The Chromeleon CDS is designed around the Thermo Fisher principle of “Operational Simplicity,” which uses eWorkflows to minimize operator tasks while accelerating the workflow. The Chromeleon CDS is also designed with the functionality to support users with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
