Cell-Based Screening System

Discovery-1™ Cell Based Screening System is dedicated to rapid automated imaging and image analysis, leverages the power of fluorescent dyes and proteins to show subtle biochemical changes within living cells, and is optimized for use in either primary or secondary screening applications. The system can also be a platform for developing individualized cell biology assays, allowing enhanced characterization of lead components and efficiency in narrowing down contenders for clinical trial. Standard multi-well formats (24, 96, 384, and 1536 wells) are supported, as are custom plate configurations. Open architecture allows easy integration with fluidics systems. Discovery-1 supports Microsoft SQL and is compatible with Oracle®.; The system can autofocus for each well, each site within the well and/or each probe. Up to eight different fluorophores can be imaged per experiment. The system is compatible with a variety of automated plate loading robots and is typically configured with high speed, low-light-level cameras.
