LISTED UNDER:

New plug-in unit for KUEHNER Incubation Shaker Cabinets Type ISF-4-W and Stacking Shakers Type ISF-1 controls the gassing of CO2 with a non-dispersive infrared system in a measuring range from 1-20 percent. Animal cell cultures have been used extensively for the production of proteins with high therapeutic value. Cell lines are usually grown in a buffered medium containing sodium bicarbonate in the liquid phase and carbon dioxide in an atmosphere enriched with 2 to 10 percent CO2, depending on the culture and media type. The success of developing new strains and products is strongly dependent on the maintenance of constant growth conditions including temperature, relative humidity, mixing rates and pH.
