Mammalian Cell Counter
Tue, 01/21/2003 - 4:55am
Accurately counting mammalian cells in under a minute, the NucleoCounter uses patented fluorescence technology and disposable cartridges pre-filled with a nuclei-staining dye to sample and analyze cell counts. The compact system is easy to use, directly counts individual cells, and analyzes volumes of approximately 2 μl. Counting signals from stained nuclei without regard to cell morphology makes it simple to count a variety of culture types. Furthermore, aggregate cultures pose no problem, as there is no need for the cell's outer membrane to be intact. The system may stand-alone, and software and a pc-interface are available so that counts and sample images can be transferred to computer.
