Three-Dimensional Imaging System

Thu, 01/30/2003 - 5:18am
ApoTome 3D imaging system, for contrast enhancement in fluorescence microscopy, is based on innovative grid projection techniques using HBO light source. Classical challenges in capturing optical sections in 2D and 3D fluorescence imaging, particularly of thick specimens, such as stray light from other focal planes, time-consuming reconstructions, and long calculations, are eliminated. Insert ApoTome into the plane of the field diaphragm of the fluorescence beam path of the Zeiss Axioplan 2 IE or Axiovert 200 microscopes, and the system will improve the clarity and performance level of digital imaging workstations in neuroscience, cell and developmental biology. The system allows the use of a variety of fluorochromes, including DAPI, FITC, Rhodamine, GFP or YFP.
