Biosafety Cabinet

The Jouan MSC.12 Class II, Type A/B3 biosafety cabinet protects operator and product. Certified by NSF, the cabinet features painted interior workspace walls that eliminate glare. A polyester coating on the interior is corrosion resistant, and can withstand all common sanitizing materials. Laminar airflow within the cabinet is measured and controlled by a microprocessor. An alarm will sound if airflow is disturbed. Alarms for low and high airflow, plugged filter, and power off are standard. Optional UV light is contained in a removable sash opening enclosure, a design that eliminates the danger of accidental exposure to UV light. When the cabinet is not in use, a half speed setting can be chosen for the fan. This feature conserves energy, and reduces noise pollution in the laboratory. To prevent accidental operation at half fan speed, the interior light is turned off at this fan speed. Two 48-inch benchtop models are available. The basic model is supplied with one 115V duplex outlet. The second model features 2-115V duplex outlets and 2-gas/vacuum service valves.
