D-Dimer Assay

With the introduction of the Simplify™ D-dimer immunochromatographic test procedure, American Diagnostica broadens its range of testing options for detection and measurement of D-dimers. D-dimer assays have proven to be a beneficial diagnostic tool in the assessment of patients suspected with venous thromboembolism (VTE), including pulmonary embolism (PE), disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and deep venous thrombosis (DVT). A wide selection of technologies for D-dimer is also available, including the DIMERTEST® latex agglutination assay, SimpliRED® whole red blood cell agglutination assay and DIMERTEST® GOLD ELISA-based test procedure. All assays are monoclonal antibody based, using the highly specialized DD3B6/22 murine monoclonal antibody, which ensures sensitivity and specificity.
