The FastPrep® Instrument will lyse any cell and tissue sample in 40 seconds or less and with minimal nucleic acid shearing or protein denaturing. Even difficult and uncharacterized samples are easily lysed. A completely self-contained system, it eliminates the mess, risk of cross-contamination, and time-consuming clean-up associated with manual nucleic acid and protein lysis. The user simply adds sample to a tube of lysing matrix, places the tube in the FastPrep Instrument, and starts the unit. The patented multi-directional pulverizer has the samples ready for isolation in under a minute.
