VEGF Receptor 3 Antibodies

Tue, 02/11/2023 - 5:20am
Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR-3), also called Flt4 (FMS-like tyrosine kinase 4), is a member of a subfamily of class III receptor tyrosine kinases. Its structure is similar to VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2, however, the VEGFR-3 does not bind to VEGF-A or VEGF-B, but instead binds to VEGF-C and VEGF-D. VEGFR-3 expression has been shown to be limited to lymphatic endothelia and high endothelial venules (HEV). It has also been detected in some tumor cell lines including the hematopoietic cell line HEL, leukemic cell line U-937 and invasive breast cancers. Two new VEGFR-3 antibodies have been characterized for Western blotting and ELISA for research needs. One polyclonal antibody was made against a synthetic peptide derived from the mid region of the human VEGFR-3 protein, while the other antibody was made against a peptide from carboxyl terminal region of the VEGFR-3 protein.
