Ceramic Materials For Microarray Slides

Fri, 03/07/2024 - 9:45am
Pittcon Booth 2052. Morgan Advanced Ceramics introduces an extensive range of ceramic materials and coatings for microarray slides. Chemical inert, resistant to protein binding, and with desirable optical properties, the ceramic materials and coatings provide an ideal environment for microarray slides used in the analysis of DNA and proteins. Along with traditional light-colored ceramic materials, MAC offers dark-colored ceramics for microarrays, which are ideal because they do not reflect light or interfere with the tracking of florescence during sample analysis. Coatings are also offered that allow microarrays to exhibit various surface characteristics, including electrical resistivity, hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties and great wear resistance. Utilizing application engineering expertise, MAC offers custom manufactured components and instrumentation to meet specific needs.
