Cation Exchange Polymeric SPE Sorbent

Strata™ X-C is a patent-pending, ion exchange polymeric SPE sorbent. The retention mechanism allows for the fractional collection of acids and neutral compounds separate from bases. If bases are the only analytes of interest, the strong ionic interaction between the sorbent and target basic analytes allows for aggressive washings with relatively strong organic solvents for clean-up of the sample. The 33μm particle has a surface area of 800 m²/g. The polymeric sorbent is stable over a pH range of 1-14. A surface property of the polymeric sorbent is that it remains "conditioned", even if accidentally run dry during the extraction. The sorbent is available in 1, 3, or 6 ml syringe-barrel tubes and 96-well plate formats.
