Visible Labels For Biomolecules

Genigma has introduced a red phosphoramidite label for biomolecules that is visible to the naked eye. The VisibleRed™ label is used to visualize biomolecules in gel electrophoresis, without the need for biohazardous products or procedures. With high sensitivity in the visible spectra, the label eliminates the need for UV illumination or radiation detection. It covalently binds to biomolecules, and is detectable at the 500 - 550 nm absorbance range.
