Automated Benchtop DNA Extraction

The Maxwell 16 System (Promega Corp.) easily fits on a lab bench and processes up to 16 samples in 20 minutes. Currently, manual DNA extraction requires an average time of 6–8 hours and multiple steps. The combination of bench-top instrument, pre-loaded cartridges and built-in protocols delivers purified DNA samples at the push of a button. Maxwell 16 employs Promega’s DNA IQ System to isolate high-quality DNA samples. A built-in heating mechanism is incorporated, which results in high elution efficiencies and DNA yields.
