Non-Contact Nanoliter Dispensing

Hydra eDrop single-channel, non-contact, nanoliter dispensing system is utilized with the Hydra II line of automated pipettors. When coupled with the 96- or 384-channel positive displacement pipetting capabilities of the pipettors, the dispenser is suited for forensic genotyping, low volume PCR in 96 and 384-well formats, preparing protein crystallography plates, and serial dispenses for dose response curves. The design of the system reduces sample waste to a few microliters while reducing the total assay volume by dispensing as little as 100 nL in 1-nL increments with no well-to-well cross contamination.
