Automated Molecular Imaging

Tue, 02/13/2007 - 10:36am

The KODAK Image Station 4000MM Pro provides fluorescent and chemiluminescent multi-modal digital imaging system. Imaging settings from session to session can be recalled and replicated. The lens system records precise f-stop, 10× zoom and focal plane parameters, automating reproducibility and traceability. A selectable wavelength xenon epi-illumination light source is included, as are 10 automated excitation filters ranging from 380-780 nm, and 4 automated wide-angle emission filters ranging from 440-830 nm. The filter systems combine with other automation features to minimize set-up time and maximize workflow efficiency and throughput. Available for imaging chemiluminescent, selectable multi-wavelength fluorescent and chromogenic labels in gels, blots, plates, extracted tissue samples and more, the Image Station is also capable of radioisotopic and in vivo X-ray imaging with addition of optional modules and accessories. A 4-million pixel cooled CCD camera and 10× optical zoom lens deliver up to 10 microns/pixel resolution. With a dynamic range greater than 4OD, the system provides true 16-bit imaging, producing more than 65,000 levels of grayscale data in a single capture for accurate intensity measurement.
