Software For NanoDrop Microvolume Fluorospectrometer
This software enhances the performance of the NanoDrop Technologies ND-3300 Fluorospectrometer, an instrument that uses a proprietary sample retention system that enables fluorescence measurements of 12 µl samples without the use of cuvettes or capillaries. Th system combines fiber optic technology, surface tension, and light emitting diodes (LED) to detect fluorometric emission spectra. Excitation of fluorophores occurs from a choice of three LED sources (UV, blue, and white), providing a broad excitation range. Full-spectrum analysis (including proprietary virtual filtering of the white LED) enables simultaneous detection of multiple fluorophores. When used in conjunction with standard fluorescence-based quantification assays, the Fluorospectrometer allows investigators to assess minute samples of nucleic acids with greater sensitivity, while conserving most of the sample for downstream analysis. Software version 2.6.0 features a fluorescence profiler, an excitation source check, and enhanced user preferences.
