Automated Molecular Imaging System For Early Disease Detection

Wed, 05/16/2007 - 12:55pm

The KODAK In-Vivo Imaging System FX Pro is designed for advanced multi-wavelength fluorescent, luminescent, radioisotopic and X-ray imaging in life science research and drug discovery applications. The instrument offers an automated lens, selectable wavelength excitation and emission filter systems, and the capability of switching between optical, radioisotopic and X-ray imaging modes remotely without disturbing the samples or opening the imaging chamber. Optical and X-ray filter controls are included, and the system can recall and replicate all imaging settings from session to session for both in vivo and in vitro molecular imaging applications. The lens system records the f-stop, 10× zoom and focal plane parameters at each session. Software enables quantitative image analysis and spatial co-registration of x-ray and optical images for improved localization of biological markers in vivo.
