Nanofiber Cell Culture Products
Fri, 06/22/2007 - 7:41am
Four new products from Corning Inc., Life Sciences, feature the firm’s Ultra-Web synthetic surface technology. The 3-D nanofiber technology will be applied to two 96-well plates and two 100 mm tissue-culture dishes. The resulting products mimic in vivo cell growth conditions, leading to improved outcomes in cell culture, cell-based bioassays and other in vitro-related applications. Ultra-Web synthetic surfaces create a culturing substrate that resembles structural components within the basement membrane or extracellular matrix and offer cells in vivo-like fibrillar topographies that are stable, are consistent from lot-to-lot, and are animal component free.
