Shaking Water Bath

Now available is the SB-12L Shaking Water Bath manufactured by Benchmark Scientific. Temperatures up to 80C are accurately controlled, and an orbital shaking motion gently rocks tubes and flasks. These baths are useful in labs for metabolism experiments, bacterial culturing and solubility studies.
The 12-liter capacity bath chamber is made of seamless stainless steel. A belt-less motor drive system controls the shaking motion of the spring-loaded surface. The removable lid adds to the energy-efficiency of the unit, and serves to collect condensation and prevent splashing.
The bath accepts 15 ml and 50 ml tubes, plus Erlenmeyer flasks and media bottles up to one liter. Smaller tubes can also be used when placed in optional racks specially designed to hold them. A digital control panel allows programming and monitoring of time (one minute to 48 hours, or continuous), shaking speed (30 to 200 rpm), and temperature (adjusted in one-degree increments).
