Engineering and construction company Fluor Corp. said Friday that a retired H&R Block CEO had joined its board.
Alan M. Bennett led the tax return-preparation company from July 2010 until May 2011. He had also been interim CEO.
Before that, Bennett held management jobs at health insurer Aetna Inc., Pirelli Armstrong Tire Corp. and Ernst & Whinney, the predecessor of auditing firm Ernst & Young.
The addition brought Fluor's board to 12 members.
Fluor shares dropped $3.45, or 6 percent, to $55.15 in late trading, a day after the company gave a disappointing forecast of 2012 profit.
