BREA, Calif. (February 4, 2024) Beckman Coulter,
Inc. has obtained full distribution rights of CellaVision digital
morphology products in the U.S. Under an agreement with CellaVision
AB, Beckman Coulter – the leader in hematology and clinical
diagnostic systems – will distribute the full line of
CellaVision products, including analyzers for automation of the
manual blood differential, an optional application for body fluid
analysis, software applications for remote access and networking,
and software for proficiency testing and education.
"Our agreement with CellaVision will make digital morphology
more available to medium and large labs that perhaps didn’t
have access to this technology before," said Cynthia Collins, group
vice president Cellular Analysis at Beckman Coulter. "And, of
course, digital morphology is a terrific enhancement to our award
winning automated hematology solutions, including the UniCel DxH
800 Coulter Cellular Analysis system."
Trends in North America indicate that in addition to large
laboratories, medium-sized laboratories also have the need to
automate the analytical process in order to improve efficiencies
and quality of the manual differential review.
