Apple shared more details regarding its new smart watch at a press conference earlier today.

The device will essentially act as a compliment to your iPhone.

You will be able to check email, see the weather, view stock tips and do so much more as long as the watch is strapped to your wrist and the phone is close by.

Apple's new device has a built-in heart rate monitor and a sensor for tracking movements, according to The New York Times.

Also, the sensor Apple built into the watch can enable you to send your heartbeat to a friend.

Simply press two fingers down on the screen to record the beat. Once that part of the process is finished, the recording can be sent to someone else with the watch.

The Apple Watch will come in three different types and the price range will vary between $349 to over $10,000. It  is available to buy April 24th.
