ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (October 8, 2024) Beckman
Coulter, Inc.'s new flow cytometry analysis software, Kaluza 1.1,
processes multicolor files of up to 10 million events in real time
and offers an analytical speed that is dramatically faster than the
previous version and several hundred times faster than other
commercially available software. With the cutting edge NVIDIA
Tesla Supercomputer* option (www.nvidia.com/tesla),
Kaluza 1.1 sets a new standard for flow cytometry data processing
speed.
Researchers investigating stem cell differentiation, cell
signaling and circulating tumor cells are applying technologies
such as cell sorting, high-complexity flow analysis, and imaging to
gain deeper insights into the biology of cells. Kaluza 1.1
analyzes data from a variety of platforms, including MoFlo Series
sorters, CyAn ADP and Gallios flow cytometry analyzers, and even
systems such as the iCys and the iCyte.** automated imaging
cytometers.
This new version of Kaluza is the first software in the industry
to be offered in a variety of translations. The availability
of Kaluza in a choice of native language will facilitate intuitive
flow cytometry analysis for users around the world.
Downloadable language packs for Japanese and simplified Chinese are
now available on www.kaluzasoftware.com,
with more languages to follow soon.
Sharlene Wright, flow cytometry strategic marketing manager with
Beckman Coulter, noted, "Researchers in the areas of regulatory T
cells, NK cell subpopulations, and mesenchymal stem cells are
focused on the analysis of the differentiation stage and on the
function of very small subpopulations of cells. Data files of
several million events or more are required for statistically
significant results. Kaluza 1.1 enables researchers in these
areas to run their high-content flow cytometry files in real
time."
Kaluza Flow Cytometry Analysis Software version 1.1 is for
research use only and is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista
and Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit) operating systems. The software loads
files that are compliant with Flow Cytometry Standards 2.0, 3.0,
and 3.1 and is offered for both networked and stand-alone
computers. Examples of Kaluza's unique data analysis tools can be
viewed at www.kaluzasoftware.com,
where a free, fully functional trial version of the software can be
requested.
